Cotswolds Wildlife Park

My trip to Cotswolds Wildlife Park was actually very interesting and very different compared to the other zoo trips I take. I had visited Cotswolds Wildlife park as part of my DMZAA course, or to those not in the field the Diploma of in Management of Zoo and Aquarium Animals. I had visited with my “class” and it was really nice to visit a zoo (that I do not work at) with like minded people.

As this zoo trip was a bit different to the trips I usually take, and I was debating whether to take my camera or not but I am so glad that I did as I got some amazing photos.

We spent all day at the zoo, well as long as we were allowed as it was a 1.5hr trip each way to where we were staying. It was a nice trip through the Cotwolds and I really liked the zoo, we had a tours of some of the areas, we got to see the rhino house where we had a chat and got to ask some questions, we also saw the giraffe house and got taken to see the flamingos, the lemurs, and a few others that I cannot remember right now.

We also got a chance to go around the zoo on our own and we saw so much. The enclosures were also amazing, I especially loved the rhinos but that might be because they had not one but two baby rhinos! They were so sweet!

I also really liked the lemurs, their enclosure was amazing and they were always outside foraging and feeding from the plants in there which was so nice to see as the lemurs I look after never want to go outside!

We saw lots of other animals as well, including the beautiful lions, camels, prairie dogs and otters, it was so much fun wandering around the zoo and checking out all the enclosures.

I really enjoyed their small natural history museum as well, it featured some taxidermy and other items from their collections over the years, some of the taxidermy is from their own animals after they passed away and it was all very fascinating.

I really enjoyed the trip overall and hope to be able to visit again soon.

Tanks for reading and I hope you enjoy my pictures!
